Become a Member

Landcare members are important to our group. We charge a small annual membership fee to help keep active in the community and maintain the Envirolink Centre.  Members receive monthly newsletters with news and handy tips, native plant give-aways, hear about upcoming events, and get to have a say in meetings and the direction of the group. We also guarantee that the benefits of joining Landcare and being part of a collective, will enhance your life and well being. Landcare is more than just caring for the environment; it's a social movement that connects people, creates a sense of purpose, and builds community resilience.

Renewing your membership? It's easy. Just click on the button and send us the online form and we will email you our bank details, or post a cheque, or call in to pay cash.

Donate to lend a hand

Sometimes being busy stops us from getting involved in causes that we care about. If you can't participate but would like to lend your support to our Landcare group, a donation would be awesome and greatly appreciated. All donations go directly towards local environmental projects, like the Junior Landcare Programme, and helping to keep our Envirolink Office in Yeppoon open and maintained.

I want to volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of our Landcare group. Each week volunteers work on a range of tasks at the Fig Tree Creek Rehabilitation Area in Park Street and other sites. Activities are dependent on the weather and season, but include field work includes weeding, watering, planting, slashing, mulching, spraying, monitoring growth, and biodiversity surveys. Volunteers help with regular debris cleanups in our creeks, mangroves, along road verges, and in parks.  They also assist with our environmental events such as Weedbuster Week, Urban Landcare Day, and Cleanup Australia Day. Volunteering is enjoyable and easy - if you have a spare hour or two and want to help your coastal environment and local community, please click on the button and send us your details. You will be warmly welcomed!

I'm interested in sponsorship

Environmental funding is becoming increasingly hard to come by, and as a not-for-profit organisation, we don't have a commercial capacity and are entirely reliant on our funding partners and local supporters. We would like to encourage local businesses to sponsor us for a year.  In return, we offer promotional opportunities in our monthly newsletters, your banner beside ours at environmental events, business cards and flyer displayed in the Envirolink Centre, shout-outs on our social media, and the benefit of knowing you are helping a grass-roots, community-driven organisation to improve the local environment. Please click on the button and register your interest today!
